Associate Dentist
Part-Time, with Opportunity to Transition to Full-Time
We are an established private family practice in Lake City, FL, serving patients from Columbia County and surrounding communities. We provide comprehensive, patient-centered dentistry in a remodeled office with an experienced clinical and administrative team. This is a private-practice setting, not a corporate, production-driven environment.
We are seeking an associate dentist with 5–10 years of clinical experience to practice alongside the owner. The position begins part-time. If the right candidate is identified, the role may transition to full-time as the schedule and patient base support it. The associate will work directly with the owner on diagnosis, comprehensive treatment planning, clinical care, and day-to-day practice operations.
Clinical responsibilities
- Comprehensive examinations, diagnosis, and treatment planning
- Direct and indirect restorative dentistry, including crowns and fixed bridges
- Minor oral surgery, including simple and surgical extractions, within the clinician’s training and comfort
- Removable prosthodontics, including complete and partial dentures
- Collaboration with the owner, dental hygiene team, and administrative staff on scheduling, case presentation, and continuity of care
- Accurate clinical documentation and adherence to OSHA, HIPAA, and infection-control standards
Qualifications
- DDS or DMD from a CODA-accredited dental school
- Active Florida dental license in good standing, or ability to obtain licensure prior to start
- 5–10 years of clinical experience
- Current BLS and DEA registration
- Willingness to begin part-time and, if it is the right fit, transition to a full-time schedule
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative clinical manner
Preferred
- Training or current experience in endodontics
- Training or current experience in implant placement and/or restoration
- Interest in expanding endodontic and implant skills in a supported private-practice setting
- Spanish language proficiency
Schedule
Part-time start, practicing alongside the owner. Current office hours are Monday–Thursday (Friday closed / by appointment). Specific days will be determined with the selected candidate. Transition to full-time is available if the right candidate is identified.
Compensation
